This sweet wall lamp by Chen Bikovski is on my list of things to own. My favourite part is the phantom antlers that appear when you turn it on. Pity they’re not for sale… yet. Petition, anyone?

I saw the much-hyped Disney short ‘Paperman‘ last night, and it did not disappoint. The film represents a near-perfect marrying of 3D accuracy and 2D aesthetics, and it brought up all sorts of warm fuzzy nostalgic feelings. It doesn’t seem to be available online so far, but here’s a look into how it was made.
Director: John Kahrs
Writers: Clio Chiang (story), Kendelle Hoyer (story)
Stars: John Kahrs, Jeff Turley and Kari Wahlgren
Production Co: Walt Disney Animation Studios

There’s something very cute and mildly creepy about this pudgy little pig-shaped lamp, which is designed to take advantage of aCFL bulb’s twirly shape.

You know what the best thing is about this chair by Dan Goldstein? The seat is made from 100% reclaimed cardboard. You know what the second best thing is? It’s got the word ‘Furniture’ printed across its lower back. It’s a chair with a tramp stamp of its own name. You go, chair. Keep it sassy.

This project by Alex Fowkes is incredible. If I don’t get a vinyl cutter right now I will straight up DIE.

I love these striking, almost sculptural nudes in this great long exposure photo project by Shinichi Maruyama. The sense of movement is fantastic!
