Clever you advertising man you

Posted by

Although I have not been swept up in the glut of vintage mania that is spreading across the planet faster than Justin Bieber. This ad campaign is very clever. I wonder if they manually edited the stuff out or used this amazing thing from a big company. I love it when people achieve a lot with very little. Spot on TunnelBravo.

N + ew way to dispose of all of your e-waste

Posted by

We have a storeroom packed full of cables, docks and old cellphones. When I came across this chair made by Rodrigo Alonso I had that familiar “Why didn’t I think of that” feeling. If any one was thinking of buying Nicework a present, this is one of the many things that would be appropriate.

(N + ew: No More Electronic Waste) Banking-sculpture-installation made of electronic waste, epoxy resin and cast aluminum. It is produced in limited editions, or based on specific orders. Each chair is completely unique. Customizable. Made by hand. This collection is possible through the support of Recycla. I feel some backyard resin mixing coming along….

Occupy London Gets A Logo

Posted by

Jonathan Barnbrook has struck again. Leaving aside the whys and wherefores of whether a grassroots political campaign like Occupy London needs a logo, it’s interesting to see that an online poll has selected this one from Jonathan Barnbrook. The striking design combines the OL initials with the pertinent idea of a real sense of time and place, and Jonathan said on Twitter he was “honoured” to have been chosen. His Bastard font is also used for the Occupy London newspaper, putting him at the visual forefront of the protest.

A Little Boat that warms my Heart

Posted by

Nelson Boles‘ animation ‘Little Boat’ is amazing. It is so delicate and well observed. Really, really lovely. The timing, attention to detail are amazing. Nelson really capture you emotions with an inanimate object.

Spot on Nelson, spot on.

He is currently in the ONECLOUDFEST Fall Competition:
