Jongoh Lee created these invisible streetlights designed as artificial leaves to blend into the surrounding branches during the day and gather solar energy. At night these leaf structures light up like fireflies. A nice green alternative to regular street lights.

U.S. computer manufacturer Dell has invested in using bamboo for their packaging. Bamboo is a sustainable material, biodegradable and compostable. Its fibers also ensure the strength of the packaging. Well done Dell!

The original aluminum 1006 Navy Chair was designed by Emeco in 1944. The new 111 Navy Chair uses 111 Coca-Cola bottles to create a plastic, environmentally-friendly version of the original. The design is expected to keep 3 million Coca-Cola plastic bottles out of landfills each year.

Industrial designer Andrew Kim has conceived a new sustainable, green-friendly bottle for Coca-Cola products. The simple design has streamlined the look of the original packaging with concerns of space and material in mind. Lets hope the people at Coca-Cola take on his creative ideas.

Conor Klein has designed a plug that is based on the concept of the leech. Like the parasite that drops off its host when full, the plug drops off the power supply when the transformer is charged.

Unfortunately not. This is a conceptual packaging design by Ryan Yoon and Harc Lee where the Coca-Cola can is revisioned to have no colour. The impulse behind the design is to eliminate the energy expenditure and the use of toxic colours in the colouring process. The brand logo being pressed into the surface of the can is a clever and sophisticated green alternative. If only Coca-Cola cared about the environment.
