Lucy Chadwick and The Selby talk to us about concentration

Posted by

Watch this video from the Selby on Lucy Chadwick it has something to do with Zara but I am not smart enough to figure it out. Is it because she is well dressed?

I especially like the bit where she is talking about the fact that we tend to skim across the surface of everything in our fast paced lives. Getting away gives you the critical distance to truly concentrate. What I would give to have an awesome barn like that. I am going to get onto that as soon as I have finished updating the blog, preparing those cards for print and designing that identity.

Beast in a Neon Cage

Posted by

Jon Wong created this insanely cool design work for a film festival project based on the work of cult director Seijun Suzuki.

“Building on t the psychedelic imagery of his films, the festival’s visuals burst with color. The sharp angles reflect the on-screen chaos and the cartoon imagery hints at the dark humor that frequents Suzuki’s work. Finally, the packaging of the products uses raw wood on the outside to mimic the sophisticated veneers of these characters, but inside they explode with color, achieved through the use of various sheets of colored plastic.”
