The Mixed Media Sketchbooks of Gosia Herba

Posted by

Gosia Herba mixes gouache, collage, pencils, crayons, and watercolour to create beautiful compositions in her sketchbook. She illustrates people, animals, and objects in an abstract way that gives them a round, puffy presence. The general feeling of her sketchbook is happy and playful, but also mysterious because in a handful of the paintings you can see the characters shedding tears.  She cuts out little shapes and layers it with paints to create something bigger. She likes to use bold, blue shapes that are balanced out with perfectly placed patterns in many of her other works too!

Anastasia Pather

Posted by

Anastasia Pather is a practising fine artist who received her BFA from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010. She is a finger painter, quiet performer and female concerned with surface and the duality of objects. Her work explores the architecture of memory and the politics of colour. Although she understands her process as an involuntary reaction to a surface she cannot shut out her thoughts about identity, exoticism, eroticism and power. Her use of gold leaf and glue allows her to paint time and that idea quite intrigues her.

“I am a semi abstract, finger painter, a frequently distracted thinker and an uninterrupted female. My process allows paint to organically form shapes through its own viscosity and my body movements.” – Anastasia Pather

Celeste Mountjoy, a witty 16-year-old mocking life’s dilemmas.

Posted by

Celeste Mountjoy, aka Flithyratbag, is a witty 16-year-old artist based in Melbourne. She is wise beyond her years and her witty comments on everyday life are all too relatable. Her sketchy comic style and obscure (and terribly dark) sense of humour is something to behold. From politics and race to feminism and the anxieties of modern relationships, Celeste has a sketch for it all. Celeste makes fun of humans and human nature while making some valid points about our world.

We can’t wait to see what this teen has for us next. Check out her Tumblr and Instagram page for more.

Inspire, Awaken, Relax, & Slumber

Posted by

Inspire, Awaken, Relax, and Slumber. The four different cannabis (Yes, you read correctly) nectars will allow you to focus or unwind, depending on what you need. John McNeil Studio designed AYA, a high-end cannabis option that is chemical and pesticide free.

“As the market for medical marijuana continues to grow and California prepares for the possible recreational legalisation of marijuana this November, the Sonoma Cannabis Company—together with its marketing partner, John McNeil Studio—launched a premium cannabis product, AYA, positioned in the top tier of cannabis brands.”

AYA features lovely, dreamy packaging, with a galaxy of stars in the sky and a coordinating vibrant colour for each. An animal rests on the front, the characteristics of which can indicate the purpose of the cannabis. It also creates a sense of feeling more in touch with nature and the earth. A background pattern keeps things lively, and all of the illustrations are done with meticulous detail—indicating the high quality of AYA.
