Die Antwoord’s latest offering from the album Ten$ion, Baby’s on Fire, is directed by talented local director Terence Neale in collaboration with Ninja.
The music video reads more as a short film, following the romantic exploits of Yolandi (much to the irritation of her “brother” Ninja) with male characters from Fietas, a poorer multiracial community near Brixton in Johannesburg. Expect bleach blonde hair, neon EVERYTHING, weapons, a dog called Satan, oil wrestling, as well as epic car and motorbike tricks. Love or hate them, you’ve got to admit that they make very impressive music videos.
