Shit Showreels Say

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Happy Monday, everyone!

To get you pumped up and in the mood for an excellent week, take a look at this brilliant showreel-but-not-a-showreel by Vancouver motion graphics artist Peter Quinn. While not-so-subtly mocking the common tropes of most contemporary motion graphics showreels, Quinn shows off his proficiency in in a number of different animation styles. His self-conscious, tongue-in-cheek approach reminds us of This is a Generic Brand Video by Dissolve, inspired by Kendra Eash’s  brilliant poem. We’re starting to see more and more examples of creative professionals taking a step back to poke fun at the little absurdities of the industry… and we like it.
