The versatility of a font

When is comes to choosing the right typeface for your brand, it can be quite tricky – there seem to be endless choices from normal, conventional-looking fonts to bubbly, customised fonts, but how is anyone meant to choose? Typefaces are just as important to the visual effect of any design as images are. A good typeface will engage the audience and influence their perception of the message your brand conveys. The key is to choose a typeface that will help deliver this message when used alongside any images as well when used on it’s own. However when you find a font family that is incredibly versatile and has lots to offer you (such as different weights, condensed/extended versions and even different styles) you may have found yourself a winner.

‘Maax’ is a typeface created by french designer, Damien Gautier, which is incredibly versatile given that it’s available in 4 different styles; standard, geometric, modern and grotesk. I can’t weight to get my hands on it and starts playing with all it has to offer.
