1. Focus brings significant improvement.
Accept the idea of making one significant improvement in a product or service at a time. Focus on doing one thing and doing it well. It’s hard enough to do one thing well – if you focus on too much, you risk making lacklustre ‘improvements.’
2. Listen to your market.
In the age of social media, it’s easier for people to talk to you directly and tell you what they like and what they don’t like about your product or service. Listen to what they say and put their ideas into practice where possible. If you are able to offer them personalisation on your product without hindering processes or profits, you should do so.
3. Ideas aren’t location specific.
Marketing ideas can be transferrable. Yes, there may be a few that are location specific, but the majority of them can be applied in your area too. Research and travel, you’ll find ideas working in other cities that haven’t caught on in yours – use them.
